Yeelight devices region  lock issue

1.Are Yeelight bulbs region locked?

If you buy the Chinese version, you cannot use the device in out of china. If you want to use the device in other regions, you need to  another server version

2.How to test  region issue

It does sound like this is a region issue. If you don’t want to change regions in the Mi Home for the following test, just download the Yeelight app, sign in with the same username & password as Mi Home and set the region to China to see if will add successfully. If it does, then it’s a region issue.

Sellers on AliExpress don’t mention it at all.

Through the yeelight app i can successfully install Yeelight 1s  on a german server and i think it´s an eu-version because it comes with ce-sign, english package, english manual..
